Home contents claim help??

Depending on your insurer they will first try and fix it. If it's aggreed that the TV was broken beyond compare then it would either be replaced with a new one (Nearest model if yours is no longer available to buy) or you will be given the value in vouchers to spend in a shop. We have claimed for lots of things on home insurance due to 2 (!!) burglars and an unfortunate accident with a candle and new carpet! :( They have to ask lots of questions to check for inconsitancies in your story... there are a lot of fraudsters out there.
