Is the Christian determination to divorce themselves from "religion" anything more than poor semantics?

They ruin everything they touch. I used to think of myself as spiritual, but they have ruined that word too. They are like the Borg from star trek. Anything that becomes popular they try to imilate. If the world turned Pagan, they would claim that title too.
